How Do I Create a New Project?
From the Community Home:
1. Click Create a project in the upper right corner and choose Centercode Delta Test. (If you only have one project template, you'll skip the template selection screen.)
2. Set the desired Project codename and complete the remaining configuration details.
3. Click Submit to confirm.
What Is the Centercode Delta Test Framework?
The Centercode Delta Test Template distills decades of testing experience and proven methodologies into a ready-to-use framework. It's permanently available in your Project Template list alongside your Global and Program Templates, and is updated with each platform release to reflect current best practices.

Once you've created a project from the template, replace placeholder text with real information in the appropriate tools and tailor the setup to your company's processes.
Notes:
- If you need to move away from Centercode's standardized processes, use the Centercode Template as a starting point, then customize and save it as your own Global or Program Template.
- You're free to use your own templates if you prefer.
How Do I Make a Project Template?
Refer to the Project Template Overview for instructions on designating a project as a template.
How Do I Include Users When Cloning a Project?
Use the Template users setting in Project Template Settings to carry over users from a template into new projects automatically.
From within the project you want to set as a template:
1. Click Management in the navigation bar.
2. Select Project configuration > Project template.
3. Scroll down to the Template users section.
4. Select which team types or teams to include.
5. Click Submit.
Note: Only include internal team types when adding users to a template. Participants should only be added to projects they've agreed to join.
What Is Not Cloned When Using a Project Template?
Project templates save significant setup time, but some items can't be cloned and must be configured manually for each new project. If any non-clonable items exist, a warning message appears in the Basic Settings section during project creation.

The following are not cloned and must be set up manually: basic project settings, active macro schedules, surveys with "Require completed activity" enabled, active phases (except Phaseless, New User, and Regression), active features, feedback form elements conditional on a feature element, macros that affect a feature element, distributed values, and opportunity sources other than Referral, Quick Invite, and Community Team access.
Note: Manager-created content is cloned, but user-generated data is not. Submitted feedback and completed survey responses do not carry over.
How Long Should Project Cloning Take?
Project creation typically takes a few seconds to several minutes depending on the source project or template and your infrastructure's current status. If creation takes more than 10 minutes, reach out to support via the live chat widget.
Why Is My Project Stuck at Step 10/11?
Step 10 is the longest step — it clones files from your source project into the new one. If you've cloned a series of projects from previous clones, each new project carries more accumulated files than the last, making step 10 progressively slower.
For example: if you clone a project that already has 45 software releases, the new project starts with all 45, and step 10 must copy every one. With each new iteration, this compounds. The solution is to use a dedicated, lightweight project template rather than repeatedly cloning active projects.
What Does a -1 Error Mean?
A -1 error means the project creation timed out at step 10/11. Contact the support team via your in-site chat widget. Your files will need to be cleared by the Development team, which typically takes two business days. Once resolved, create your new project and set up a fresh, dedicated project template to prevent recurrence.
