What Are Infoboxes?

Infoboxes appear throughout the platform in color-coded page header and inline variants. They display important information clearly and concisely, covering everything from best practice tips to warnings about choices that may have implications beyond the current page.

What Are the Different Types of Infobox?

There are five categories of infobox, each color-coded based on the type of information it conveys.

Tips

Tip infobox example

Tips provide useful but non-essential information, such as best practices and usage recommendations.

Reminder

Reminder infobox example

Reminders are similar to Tips in that they provide useful non-essential information, but are generally aimed at participants.

Warning

Warning infobox example

Warnings indicate that the choice or option you're selecting will have a significant impact, or that a correction is required before you can proceed.

Validation

Validation infobox example

Validation infoboxes notify you that information on the current form is either incomplete or incorrectly formatted. The form can't be submitted until the issue is corrected.

Personal Data

Personal data infobox example

Personal data infoboxes inform users about expectations and usage of personal data. They appear on any form with a field that has been marked as personal data. Learn more about personal data fields.
