How do I create Email Templates?

Save emails to be used later.

Create Email Templates: 

From the Community or Project Home Page:

  1. For Community Email Templates: In the upper left Community menu click:
    Community Configuration > Email Templates and Logs
    For Project Email Templates:  In the top menu click: 
    Management->Project Configuration->Email Templates and Logs
  2. Hover over the table cell of the desired email category and click the New Template button.
  3. Complete the Template, making sure to include a Template Name and Email Subject/Body.
  4. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page to confirm.

You have successfully created a Project Email Template.

Modify Email Template:

From the Community or Project Home Page:

  1. For Community Email Templates: In the upper left Community menu click:
    Community Configuration > Email Templates and Logs
    For Project Email Templates:  In the top menu click: 
    Management->Project Configuration->Email Templates and Logs
  2. Click the table cell of the desired Email Template.
  3. Make any desired changes to the Email Template.
  4. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page when satisfied.

You have successfully modified a Project Email Template.

Remove Email Template:

From the Community or  Project Home Page:

  1. For Community Email Templates: In the upper left Community menu click:
    Community Configuration > Email Templates and Logs
    For Project Email Templates:  In the top menu click: 
    Management->Project Configuration->Email Templates and Logs
  2. Hover over the table cell of the desired Email Template and click the X icon to the right.
  3. Click the Yes, Delete this item link to confirm the action.

You have successfully removed a Project Email Template.

  • Once created, Templates will be available for use in the associated areas (User Action Email Templates will be selectable when sending a User Action Email, for example). You can also build and save Email Templates when sending an email from the appropriate area, as part of the process, which will then become available to manage in the Email Templates section detailed above.
