How do I create, modify, or remove a Project Task?

From the Project Homepage:

Create Task:

  1. Click the Project Tools link in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click the Tasks button in the main body area.
  3. Click the List icon to the left of the desired Task List.
  4. Click the Add a New Task link at the bottom of the table.
  5. Give the Task a Title, and set all desired Details and other options.
  6. Click the Submit button on the bottom of the page.

You have successfully created a Project Task.

Modify Task:

  1. Click the Project Tools link in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click the Tasks button in the main body area.
  3. Click the List icon to the left of the desired Task List.
  4. Click the Modify icon to the left of the desired Task.
  5. Make all desired changes to the Task.
  6. Click the Submit button on the bottom of the page.

You have successfully modified a Project Task.

Remove Task:

  1. Click the Project Tools link in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click the Tasks button in the main body area.
  3. Click the List icon to the left of the desired Task List.
  4. Click the Remove icon to the right of the desired Task.
  5. Click Yes, Remove this Task to confirm the Removal.

You have successfully removed a Project Task.

Requirements

  • Manage Tasks Role

Notes

  • In order to have Tasks, a Task List must first exist to place your Task Lists within (which also requires a Task Group to contain your Task List(s)).
