Community-level Roles allow Community Managers to designate access rights to Teams. Where Project Roles apply only to that particular Project Scope, Roles granted at the Community span the entire Community Scope. The following is a list of Roles at the Community level and their functions:

| Manage Community | This Role grants access to basic Community Manager functionality including all Community Settings which are not covered explicitly by other Roles. This Role is automatically on for Community Managers. |
| Create Project | This Role grants access to links in the Departments section of the Community Homepage and to Project creation functionality in Community Management. |
| Manage Users | This Role grants Access to User Profiles and User Management functionality at the Community Level, including resetting User passwords. This Role is automatically on for Community Managers. |
| Assume User Identity | This Role grants access to the Assume User Identity functionality found in User Management, Knowledge Base, and User Summary pages. This is intended for Managers only (as it allows a User to assume a Manager). |
